Pilates Loft

NEW PILATES LOFT GROUP EX SESSIONS!
 The J is expanding its Pilates offerings to provide specialty classes to serve a wide array of members’ needs. These 6-week sessions will all be held in our new Pilates Loft studio and are a little different from our traditional Pilates Reformer Classes. Open to Mandel JCC members. There are no refunds for missed classes.  If you do miss a class you may make up the class, however the make-up class must occur before the current session expires. LENGTH OF CLASS
Classes are 6 weeks long and each session is 45 minutes in length.
SIZE OF CLASS
Like our traditional Pilates Reformer sessions, class sizes are small and limited to 5 participants.
LOCATION
The Pilates Loft classes will all take place in the Upper Rzepka studio located on the main level of The J at the North end of the lobby.
LEVELS
Pilates Loft classes are offered for every level. Some classes are specifically geared towards one level.
FEES
Classes are $90 for a 6-week class

CLASS OFFERINGS

LAYING THE GROUNDWORK – LEVEL 1

Ideal for beginners and those who want a safe and effective class experience to build a solid Pilates foundation. Learn the reformer apparatus, proper form, techniques, and alignment to help you master the Pilates fundamentals. This class is ideal for all fitness levels and is easily modified for those with physical limitations.

*Appropriate for all levels

LEARNING THE ROPES – LEVEL 2
Continue to build your practice with more complex movements and use of props. Intermediate exercises and coordinated movements are introduced with modifications and progressions to give students a more challenging workout. Class tempo is moderate.
*Pilates Reformer experience is required

ROLL AND REFORM
Using the foam roller and Pilates reformer, this class will focus on increasing your body awareness, reducing pain, and improving mobility and balance. Myofascial release and strengthening and stretching exercises will be performed.
*Appropriate for all levels

SEN - PILATES FOR SENIORS
This class is a gentle introduction to exercising the whole body while improving breathing, 
core strength, mobility and balance.
*Appropriate for all levels

BACK - PILATES FOR BACK
This class is meant to prevent and decrease back pain, including low back pain. It is designed to strengthen core support for the back, teach good alignment, and provide gentle stretches for tight
back muscles.
*Appropriate for all levels.
 

EXO - EXO CHAIR/REFORMER
Change your practice up with the use of the chair and reformer.
*Experience Advised

JUMP - JUMP BOARD
Intensify your reformer workout by adding cardio exercises to the mix. This class will mix the strengthening and stretching benefits of the reformer with cardiovascular exercises.
