Camp Wise overnight camp offers spectacular summer experiences for your kids. Nationally recognized Camp Wise provides the perfect place for kids to do everything from canoeing, archery, sports, arts and crafts, swimming, ropes course and team-building. Our beautiful Geauga County camp site with its own private lake offers a spectacular program that provides campers with an unforgettable summer! Campers develop confidence, gain independence, learn new skills and have a blast—all  while strengthening their Jewish identity!

Camp Wise has been a second home to children for more than 100 summers and is proud to be the overnight camp of the Mandel JCC of Cleveland. Campers come from all parts of Ohio and the United States and from as far away as Israel. Only 30 miles from Cleveland – Camp Wise the “Home of Happiness.”

The Harold Grinspoon Foundation All Together Now: A Matching Grant for Jewish Overnight Camp

Now more than ever, Camp Wise will benefit in more ways than one, from your support to ensure another 110 successful years at The Home of Happiness. With the cancellation of our summer season, we will be incurring more than $350,000 in losses as a result of money already spent in preparation for this summer – from facility maintenance, recruitment, and operational costs to supporting our families in requesting refunds. 

 
We are making crucial financial choices to stabilize our finances, but the key drivers of our financial model are camper fees and philanthropy. The loss of our camper fees means that we must depend more heavily on the generosity of people who love camp and value our place in the Jewish world and our future. People like you.

Philanthropic support from our amazingly supportive community of alumni and friends is critical to stabilizing our financial condition as soon as possible so that we can begin to plan ahead for Summer 2021 and beyond. We are thrilled to share with you that the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) has recognized the urgency of our situation and has stepped forward with a matching grant. Through their All Together Now: A Matching Grant for Jewish Overnight Camp, HGF will give $1 for every $2 that you donate to Camp Wise now.
