An art appreciation class for adults presented by Cleveland Museum of Art that focuses on goods traded between Asia and Europe.
The Cleveland Museum of Art will bring Chinese and Dutch art to The J for an engaging program that features items such as Chinese silk, Dutch ceramics and Japanese enamelware. Throughout history, explorers have traveled to acquire "exotic" goods, using routes like the Silk Road and sea paths around Africa. We will examine the cultural exchanges and globalization involved in their creation and their relevance today. Participants can handle art objects and engage in observation and discussion.

Perfect for children ages 6 months through 3 years old to learn the basics of swimming and getting acclimated to the water. Parents/caregivers are in the water with the children and are an important part of the experience. Participants will learn water adaption, blowing bubbles and the beginnings of strokes. Swim Team Prep builds confidence, technique, and endurance for young swimmers before joining a competitive team in a fun, supportive environment.
This class is designed for young swimmers (American Red Cross Levels 3-6) who want to develop their skills and build confidence before joining a competitive swim team. Swimmers will be introduced to the structure and expectations of swim team practice while improving their technique and endurance in a fun and supportive environment.
