A Place for Everyone

Culture of Belonging

At The J, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive, open and inviting place where everyone is welcome and anyone can be a member. The Mandel JCC is committed to building, nurturing and elevating a culture of belonging in which we welcome, recognize and celebrate people of all abilities and identities in accessible, safe settings.

Access and Opportunities

The Mandel JCC strives to make our programs accessible to everyone. Additionally, we collaborate with community organizations to provide enriching opportunities through partners such as Cuyahoga East Vocational Education Consortium, Youth Ability, Bellefaire JCB, Naaleh and Rec2Connect. These opportunities provide vocational classroom experience, workforce training, and physical and recreational activities.

Preston's H.O.P.E. is an extensive accessible playground park for children with all levels of abilities and disabilities. It provides children with the opportunities to explore, play and learn. Located on our campus and managed by The J, Preston’s H.O.P.E. includes Imagination Village, with make-believe houses that are connected by a raised walkway, play theatre, sand area and traditional playground area with swings, tunnels and slides that are appropriate for children from preschool through school age.
