School Days at The J
7:30 AM - 3:45 PM, Grades K - 6 • Starting Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020
As schools work to finalize plans for the fall amid the COVID-19 pandemic, many districts are starting the academic year with virtual learning. To support families who need assistance while their children are engaged in virtual learning, the Mandel JCC staff has created a new program for school-age children. If virtual learning is your child’s reality this fall, the Mandel Jewish Community Center is here to help. The new School Days at The J program provides a safe, structured, enriching and socially engaging environment to help your child navigate distance learning.
Registration is limited to ensure low student-to-staff ratios to maintain safety standards.
About the Program

Health and Safety
The Mandel JCC is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services as a childcare center. Our staff strives to exceed Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and State of Ohio safety and health mandates and guidelines. Participants will be divided into pods of no more than 10 students. We will maintain a 1:6 ratio of staff per child. Staff will encourage social distancing practices and discourage physical contact play.
Path to Success
Pack your child’s face mask, school supplies, lunch and learning device. We’ll provide snacks, outdoor recreation, STEAM activities and electives in a structured setting designed for success.
